Retail Sales Associate – Luxury Gift & Lifestyle Boutique

Staffmax is currently hiring a Retail Sales Associate for a high-end gift and lifestyle boutique located near the Rice Village area. We are seeking a polished, personable, and sales-driven individual with a strong background in premium retail. The ideal candidate understands the importance of personalized service, building lasting customer relationships, and creating an elevated shopping experience.

Pay Rate: $23/hour + potential commission

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional, personalized service to customers in a high-end retail environment.

• Build meaningful customer relationships and provide tailored product recommendations.

• Drive sales by understanding customer preferences, identifying opportunities, and recommending complementary products.

• Meet and exceed sales targets while maintaining the boutique’s service standards.

• Maintain strong knowledge of merchandise, product features, pricing, and new arrivals.

• Assist with sales transactions, returns, exchanges, and customer orders using Lightspeed POS.

• Provide professional gift wrapping, handle phone inquiries, and fulfill online orders and mailings.

• Support visual merchandising by maintaining elegant displays, product presentations, and an inviting store atmosphere.

• Receive, tag, organize, and replenish merchandise while maintaining inventory accuracy.

• Keep the sales floor organized, clean, and visually appealing.

• Share customer feedback and support the Store Manager with daily operations and special events.

Qualifications & Skills

• 3+ years of high-end retail, luxury boutique, or premium sales experience preferred.

• Demonstrated success in consultative selling and achieving sales targets.

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to deliver a personalized and memorable shopping experience.

• Professional, polished, and confident communication skills.

• A genuine interest in luxury gifts, fashion, design, home décor, or lifestyle products.

• Ability to build rapport with customers and maintain long-term relationships.

• Strong attention to detail and an understanding of visual merchandising.

• Experience with POS systems, cash handling, inventory, and retail transactions.

• Lightspeed or similar POS experience is an asset.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Flexible availability for Saturdays and occasional store events.

Schedule

• Store hours: Monday–Saturday, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM.

• Saturday availability is required.

• One weekday off, scheduled on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.

• Expected arrival: 9:45 AM.

• Expected departure: approximately 6:15 PM.

• Occasional participation in boutique events may be required.
