Description:

We are seeking reliable associates with strong English communication skills and prior retail cashier experience, particularly with credit and debit card machines. The selected candidates will assist customers and process transactions during scheduled retail sale events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers during the event and provide excellent customer service.

  • Process purchases using credit and debit card machines (cashless transactions only).

  • Maintain professionalism and punctuality throughout the shift.

  • Sign in and out with the manager for all breaks and shift changes.

Requirements:

  • Previous retail sales or cashier experience is required.

  • Experience using credit/debit card payment machines.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Event 1 – Vancouver Convention Centre

Location: Vancouver Convention Centre, 999 Canada Pl #300, Vancouver, BC V6C 3B5 – Hall C
Dates: Thursday, April 2 – Sunday, April 5, 2026
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Hours:

  • Thursday, April 2: 9:30 AM – 7:30 PM (early start for training)

  • Friday, April 3 – Sunday, April 5: 9:45 AM – 7:30 PM

Please note that shift end times may vary depending on event traffic and may conclude earlier than 7:30 PM.

Staffing Requirement: 10 Associates

Event 2 – PNE Forum

Location: PNE Forum, 2901 Hastings St. E, Hastings Park, Vancouver, BC V5K 5J1
Dates: Thursday, April 9 – Sunday, April 12, 2026
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Hours:

  • Thursday, April 9: 9:30 AM – 7:30 PM (early start for training)

  • Friday, April 10 – Sunday, April 12: 9:45 AM – 7:30 PM

Please note that shift end times may vary depending on event traffic and may conclude earlier than 7:30 PM.

Staffing Requirement: 8 Associates

Additional Information:

  • Associates must sign in and out with the manager for all breaks and shift changes.

  • Two 30-minute unpaid breaks will be provided during the shift.

  • Associates are required to bring their own meals/snacks and water, as these will not be provided onsite.
