Staffmax is working with our client to secure an experienced Tire Retread Technician
Monday - Friday days
Starting Wage is $18.00/hour
Key Responsibilities

Operate retreading equipment while following established production processes and quality standards.

Adhere to all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.

Enter production information into the computer system and accurately complete required documentation.

Inspect used tire casings to determine if they meet retreading standards and identify any repairs required.

Prepare tire casings using automated buffing equipment.
-
Perform tire repairs, including skiving and section repairs as needed.

Apply cushion gum and prepare tires for the retreading process.

Build and assemble retread tires using specialized equipment.
-
Load and unload tires from curing chambers or curing presses.

Trim, paint, and finish completed tires before storage or shipment.

Conduct final quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards.

Assist with routine equipment maintenance and housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills

Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely operate industrial equipment.

Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality work.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Ability to identify defects and determine if tires meet quality requirements throughout the retreading process.

Reliable, safety-focused, and dependable with a positive attitude.

Basic computer skills for entering production data and completing electronic documentation.
Education & Experience
-
Previous manufacturing, production, tire, automotive, or mechanical experience is considered an asset but is not required.

Basic computer literacy, including experience using email, mobile devices, or other digital technology.

Willingness to learn through on-the-job training and develop new technical skills.
