Staffmax is working with our client to secure an experienced Tire Retread Technician
Monday - Friday days
Starting Wage is $18.00/hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate retreading equipment while following established production processes and quality standards.

  • Adhere to all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.

  • Enter production information into the computer system and accurately complete required documentation.

  • Inspect used tire casings to determine if they meet retreading standards and identify any repairs required.

  • Prepare tire casings using automated buffing equipment.

  • Perform tire repairs, including skiving and section repairs as needed.

  • Apply cushion gum and prepare tires for the retreading process.

  • Build and assemble retread tires using specialized equipment.

  • Load and unload tires from curing chambers or curing presses.

  • Trim, paint, and finish completed tires before storage or shipment.

  • Conduct final quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards.

  • Assist with routine equipment maintenance and housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely operate industrial equipment.

  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality work.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to identify defects and determine if tires meet quality requirements throughout the retreading process.

  • Reliable, safety-focused, and dependable with a positive attitude.

  • Basic computer skills for entering production data and completing electronic documentation.

Education & Experience

  • Previous manufacturing, production, tire, automotive, or mechanical experience is considered an asset but is not required.

  • Basic computer literacy, including experience using email, mobile devices, or other digital technology.

  • Willingness to learn through on-the-job training and develop new technical skills.
