SAP ECC to S4 Cut Over Manager/Specialist

Staffmax is looking for a SAP ECC to S4 Cut Over Manager/Specialist for one of their clients in Toronto.

Location: Valcourt, Quebec – Canada (location not constraint for right candidate)
Experience: 12 + years
Language: English and French preferred, but English only is also OK
Salary: Salary as per experience with great benefits and bonus

Technical/Functional Skills

  • Has experience in performing the role of cut over / release from ECC to S4 HANA in at least 2 engagements/instances of such cut overs.
  • Expertise in technical aspects of ECC & S4 that are relevant to ensure a smooth cut over. Ensuring the ECC production version is working fine and frozen at the appropriate timing and S4 migration is completed smoothly and turned ON at the appropriate time.
  • Experience and strong knowledge of the various aspects of the cut over / release of the environments and ensuring Applications, Data, Business processes, etc., are all appropriately aligned and prepared for smooth cut-over successful upgrade.
  • Understanding S/4 HANA Architecture and fit in the design and build of business solution
  • Best utilization of Time Management, People Management, Engagement Management, Risk Management and Scope Management along with Change Management
  • Excellent communication skills to Communicate regularly and provide status reports to sponsors, key stakeholders, and team members
  • Understand the Project objectives, plans, and coordination with On-site counterparts (Partner Program Lead, Track Leads and Functional Consultants)
  • To secure acceptance and approval of Integrated Solution deliverables from the Project Sponsor and Stakeholders
  • Making sure the project is delivered in budget, Task executed on schedule, and within scope
  • Monitoring of activities related to master data creation /changes, data migration, cutover strategy, manual configuration, creation of variants and scheduling, local changes and alignment of development and integration clients.
  • Proactively escalate and resolve/mitigate project issues, risks, and quality concerns

Nice to Have :

  • Domain Industry experience.
  • SAP Project management certification

Experience Required

  • Minimum 2 cut-over from ECC to S4 HANA project/engagements.
  • Overall IT experience of about 10-12 years or more
  • Technical experience of S4 Hana implementation and ECC SAP maintenance/support/development

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead / Manage the cut-over from ECC to S4 HANA and ensure successful upgrade
  • Proactively identify challenges & risks involved in the cut-over and plan to mitigate
  • Plan and ensure all nuances of release/migration are taken care of.
  • Liaising up with the various stakeholders as per the requirement
  • Ready to work in 24x7 shifts during the actual cut-over (for maybe a week or so)
