Senior Safety Advisor

Staffmax is assisting our Winnipeg client with the hire of a Senior Safety Advisor to oversee a team of safety consultants in the provision of health and safety services to clients. This permanent, full-time position requires a proven history of effective leadership and people management, as well as an established knowledge of work-safety legislation and programs.

Your Duties Will Include:

• Strategic planning and execution of program directives
• Developing and implementing effective programming
• Course development
• Training delivery
• Program maintenance
• Providing advisory services to clients
• Auditing and certification
• Industry outreach
• Formal communication with clients and co-workers

Job Requirements:

• Prior experience in the field of Health and Safety is required
• Prior experience with leading and managing people is required
• A Class-5 driver's license, your own reliable vehicle, and availability to travel is required
• Certificates, designations, or other credential in Health and Safety- related courses are a strong asset
• Understanding of the regulatory environment of the transportation industry is a strong asset
• Experience with customer and client relations is an asset
