Materials Receiving / Warehouse Associate

Location: Winnipeg, MB
Position Type: Full-Time (3 week assignment with possibility of extension)
Wage: $20.00/hour, depending on experience

Position Overview

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Materials Receiving / Warehouse Associate to assist with receiving, sorting, and organizing incoming materials and orders. This is primarily a hands-on warehouse position with limited computer work.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming materials and orders and verify quantities and items.

  • Sort and organize materials for distribution or production.

  • Assign materials to the appropriate machine serial number and specific MBOM.

  • Complete and update required receiving and material paperwork.

  • Identify, communicate, and help resolve discrepancies or issues.

  • Use a manual pallet jack to move materials safely.

  • Maintain an organized and clean receiving/warehouse area.

  • Follow workplace safety procedures and company guidelines.

  • Work efficiently while managing multiple tasks and priorities.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Previous warehouse, receiving, material handling, or manufacturing experience is an asset.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.

  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, mechanical/electrical blueprints, and tables is preferred but not required.

  • Ability to safely operate a manual pallet jack.

  • Must be capable of lifting up to 25 kg (55 lbs.).

  • Reliable, dependable, and able to work as part of a team.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a busy warehouse environment. Strong attention to detail is important, as materials must be accurately received, sorted, and assigned to the correct equipment and paperwork.
