Staffmax is assisting our client a large North America company to find a Site Manager on one of the two fields. This is a year round role, full time permanent hire. Free to applicants to apply.

Pay and Benefits:

  • $120-140,000
  • Bonus/incentive

Must Haves:

  • Mechanically inclined, hydraulics, conveyors etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management, Business Administration, Agriculture, or similar
  • Minimum 5 years’ of plant management experience
  • Strong computer skills or capacity to learn
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-75 pounds
  • May require more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.

Duties:

  • Implement all EH&S procedures as required by OHS and company and meet or exceed all safety, environmental and health directives for the plant.
  • Ensure that quality, productivity and cost targets for the site are met or exceeded
  • Direct or coordinate production, processing, distribution, and any other activities related to the plant and harvesting operations.
  • Develop budgets or approve expenditures for supplies, materials, or human resources, ensuring that materials, labor, or equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.
  • Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures
  • Hire, train, evaluate, and/or discharge staff, and resolve personnel grievances.
  • Initiate or coordinate inventory or cost control programs.
  • Prepare and maintain production and harvest reports.
  • Develop or implement production tracking or quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, or other operational reports, to detect production problems.
  • Coordinate or recommend procedures for facility or equipment maintenance or modification, including the replacement of machines.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the quality control field, relying on current literature pertaining to materials use, technological advances, or statistical studies.
