Skilled Labourer

Location: Vaughan, ON
Pay rate is $25-30/hr + Bonus + Benefits + Uniform & Boots Allowance.
Term: Fulltime, Permanent

Responsibilities:
• Safely and efficiently operate mini-excavator, track loader/skid steer, backhoe and small dump truck
• Perform excavation for all underground utilities
• Assist with installation of trenching, backfilling, conduit and other manual labor as directed by supervisor
• Drive and backup a small dump truck with a trailer
• Install & service wireless communication systems, rooftops, and various site types for major wireless carriers in Canada
• Use of hand and power tools and be willing to use them
• Heavy lifting as required
• Operate Capstan Hoist
• Ability to operate power tools, drills, grinders, portable band saws etc..
• Cable termination and splicing
• Implement construction deliverables on a project-by-project basis, client submittals/checklists
• Installation of antenna and transmission line systems on towers, roof-tops, and other structures
• Performing all general ground duties associated with tower construction and equipment shelter
• Read and follow construction drawings or specialized methods of procedures to perform installation or maintenance on equipment or sites.
• Participate in daily tailboard safety meetings
• Other duties as requested by Supervisor

Requirements:
• Must possess mechanical aptitude
• Experience using hand and operating small machines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (able to work closely with others for long periods of time)
• Must be comfortable working at heights;
• Must be in good physical condition with the ability to bend and lift 50 lbs.
• Must be available to travel when required
• Adherence to safety standards, a working knowledge of all safety & quality control requirements, fall protection practices, regulations, and procedures for crew
• First aid training
• Valid driver's license and driving record meeting the company policy conditions.
• Ability to work as a team and well as independently 
• Punctual and Reliable
• Able to work long hours in various weather conditions
• Communication, and organizational skills
