Our client, a leading global Telecoms company, is recruiting for a Senior Graphics Architect in the GTA.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development of low power high-performance graphics rendering framework architecture and end-to-end Android Graphics rendering & display system for mobile innovation,
- This role includes intensive interactions with internal architects in multiple sites on developing advanced graphics rendering and display features, profiling performance/power bottlenecks and prototyping optimal end-end high-performance framework solutions,
- The role also includes technical planning and guiding the implementation & verification of the recommended solutions in target products,
- Research and develop low power high-performance graphics rendering framework architecture and end-end graphics system to accelerate UI/Image applications on mobile devices for best user experiences,
- Develop innovative framework architectures to reduce rendering layers & workloads, reduce system resource cost and simplify programming models to boost performance and reduce power consumption significantly.
- Identify future trends in Graphics/Compute technologies and drive strategic planning to make product differentiation and improve the platform.
- Work effectively with internal stakeholders across diverse technical areas
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in graphics rendering framework in Android
- 5+ years of project experience in rendering performance optimization and system power consumption
- Mainstream 3D rendering engines, PovverVR or Mali,
- Graphics and image processing algorithms,
- Excellent communication skills Strengths in working with local and remote teams to design, develop, and debug systems.
- Proficiency in OpenGLES, Vulkan or similar APIs,
- Performance and power optimization in the graphics rendering framework
