Location: Mississauga (also needed in Concord, Winnipeg and Quebec)
Pay: $42-45hr + $3/hr premium, $4hr overnights
Hours: 3-11:30 PM Monday- Friday

In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of truck and trailer equipment. This includes diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and completing preventative maintenance with a high level of independence and efficiency. You will also contribute to maintaining a safe, organized workspace while ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Completing preventative maintenance and repair work on trucks and trailers
  • Identifying and documenting warranty-related repairs
  • Inspecting critical systems such as brakes, steering, and suspension to ensure safe operation
  • Diagnosing mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and testing equipment
  • Performing repairs or replacements on components including engines, transmissions, and differentials
  • Conducting road tests when required to confirm proper operation
  • Using a variety of hand and power tools, as well as specialized diagnostic equipment
  • Maintaining accurate records of work completed
  • Supporting additional shop projects as required

Qualifications for success in this role:
  • 5 years working with heavy-duty truck and trailer equipment
  • Valid provincial certification (such as Red Seal or 310T)
  • Valid driver’s license (Class 3 or D with air brake endorsement, or willingness to obtain within six months)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using diagnostic tools, welding equipment, and standard shop tools
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and diagnostics
  • Ability to work in a shop environment that may not be climate-controlled
  • Experience in diagnosing and repairing major components such as engines and transmissions, is highly valued
  • Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to safety and quality
  • Willingness to travel locally for service calls or training when required
