TMA Truck Driver- Hope, BC

Staffmax is currently assisting our client in Hope, BC, to find a skilled TMA Truck Driver. As a TMA Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and smooth flow of traffic along Highway 1. This is a temporary project, offering competitive compensation and accommodation within a camp-based setting.
 

Location: Hope, BC

Wage: $34 per hour

Employment Status: Temporary Project (Camp-based position with accommodation and food provided)

Schedule: 6 days a week, 12-hour shifts per day + possible overtime

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a TMA (Truck-Mounted Attenuator) truck to protect road workers and motorists.
• Follow traffic control plans and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
• Conduct routine inspections of the TMA truck to ensure its proper functioning.
• Communicate effectively with team members and follow instructions from supervisors.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to minimize hazards and accidents.

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License: Class 1, Class 3, or Class 5 (non-GDL) with Air Brakes Endorsement.
• Clean Driving Record: A clean 3-year Drivers Abstract is required.
• Pre-Employment Screening: All employees must undergo and pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening, including marijuana, medical or non-use, due to the safety-sensitive nature of the position.
• Physical Ability: Successfully pass a Fit Test, including the ability to lift between 50 and 75 pounds.
• Experience: Previous Traffic Control or Construction industries experience is an asset, but not required.
