Job Description
• Expertise in Video Security solutions
• Proficient in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of surveillance cameras
• Skilled in CAT6 runs and Patch Panel installations
• Conducts IT closet cleanup to optimize functionality
• Fearless, hands-on individual comfortable with heights • Desktop support experience is a valuable asset
• Installs, operates, and maintains voice and data telecommunications network circuits and equipment to establish seamless communication systems.
• Plans network installations by thoroughly studying customer orders, plans, manuals, and technical specifications; coordinates equipment, supplies, materials, and tools; assesses installation sites; and prepares comprehensive installation diagrams.
• Sets up voice and data networks by running, pulling, terminating, and splicing cables; installing telecommunications equipment, including routers, switches, multiplexors, cable trays, and alarm/fire-suppression systems; constructs ironwork and ladder racks; establishes connections; programs features; ensures compliance with industry standards; activates remote access tools; and collaborates with contractors.
• Verifies service quality through rigorous testing of circuits, equipment, and alarms; identifies, corrects, or escalates issues as necessary.
• Documents networks meticulously by labeling and routing equipment and cables and maintaining detailed configuration diagrams and specifications.
• Maintains network functionality by troubleshooting and resolving outages, testing network backup procedures, and updating documentation.
• Cultivates strong customer relationships by addressing concerns, resolving issues, and providing informative responses.
• Upholds a safe work environment by adhering to codes, standards, and legal regulations.
• Ensures the availability of necessary supplies by conducting regular inventory checks, placing orders, and verifying receipts.
• Stays current with industry trends and advancements through active participation in educational opportunities and staying informed via technical publications.
