Temporary- Accounting & Finance Manager (CPA)

Location: Ness Avenue, Winnipeg, MB
Pay Rate:$28.56 to $33/hr
Hours:8:30am-4:00pm
Start Date: April 14th, 2025
End date: Mid to end of May 2025

Job Description:

• Ensure that essential accounting functions are carried out according to the established schedule for the duration of the term. This includes banking, credit card transactions, petty cash management, reconciliation of accounts, other accounts payable (AP), provincial invoicing, and month-end processes.

• Provide support and guidance to the accounting clerk, with most of the supervision handled by you.

• Work closely to ensure all necessary year-end processes are completed by the fourth week of April, and generate year-end reports as required by the organization and external audit team.

• Collaborate to provide requested documentation to the external audit team.

• Be available to assist the director team with any accounting-related questions or concerns.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, particularly its reporting capabilities, is highly beneficial.

• Fluency in English (reading, spoken, and written) is essential.

• Must have experience with Canadian accounting and financial principles at this level of support.

Qualifications:

• Professional accounting designation or in the late stages of the CPA program.
  Five years’ experience in accounting capacity with two years’ supervisory experience, preferably in a non-profit environment.
  Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and CRA requirements for non-profit sector.
