Tennis Court Maintenance Supervisor (Night Shift)

Staffmax is currently hiring a Tennis Court Maintenance Supervisor (Night Shift) for a prestigious private club environment. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on leader who takes pride in delivering exceptional facility standards and thrives working independently.

What You’ll Do
Operations & Oversight
- Take full ownership of evening and overnight operations across all tennis courts
- Ensure courts and surrounding areas are fully prepared for daily play
- Plan, prioritize, and execute maintenance tasks independently
- Monitor weather conditions and court usage to maintain optimal playability
- Identify gaps in operations and implement improvements
Court Maintenance & Quality Control
- Perform daily court preparation: sweeping, lining, watering, rolling, and leveling
- Complete repairs including surface restoration and line maintenance
- Monitor and adjust irrigation systems to maintain proper court conditions
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure safety, consistency, and quality
Facility & Grounds Management
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of courts, seating areas, and surrounding grounds
- Ensure all equipment, tools, and storage areas are organized and maintained
- Support general groundskeeping including debris removal and site upkeep
- Ensure all areas meet high-end facility standards
Leadership & Team Support
- Provide guidance and oversight to maintenance staff (as required)
- Monitor quality of work and reinforce high performance standards
- Support onboarding and training of new team members
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Health & Safety
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and workplace policies
- Conduct safety inspections and proactively address hazards
- Maintain a safe environment for staff, members, and guests
- Respond to and manage issues during independent night operations
What You Bring
- Previous experience in court maintenance, groundskeeping, or similar field
- Experience with tennis courts (clay/Har-Tru) considered a strong asset
- Strong knowledge of maintenance equipment and irrigation systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable and comfortable working night shifts
- Physically capable of outdoor, hands-on work in varying conditions
Schedule & Environment
- Night shift role (evenings/overnight)
- Outdoor, physically active work environment
- Occasional weekend work may be required
