Schedule: Monday to Friday with availability outside scheduled hours
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Terminal Manager to lead our team and ensure the efficient operations of our terminal. The ideal candidate will have experience in Truck trailer facility management, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering top-notch customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to build long-term relationships
- Manage terminal employees, including safety, scheduling, coaching, and assessment
- Coordinate freight movement, tracing, claims, and dispatch
- Monitor and maintain service schedules and levels
- Participate in hiring and training processes
- Oversee equipment utilization and maintenance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve operational goals
- Maintain accurate records and reports on terminal activities
- Develop and implement training programs for employees
Qualifications:
- Experience in a large commercial/industrial facility leadership role
- Post-secondary education preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in general freight operations
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Working knowledge of WHMIS and Health & Safety Act
- Class 1 or AZ license (or willing to acquire)
- Regular use of computer
