Staffmax is currently assisting our client in Calgary, AB, in the search for a Test Protector to support a critical examination process. This unique opportunity requires a dedicated individual to observe and ensure the accurate execution of an artificial eye duplication by a pre-screened professional Candidate. Please note that there is no patient contact involved in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Follow a provided checklist and written instructions for all observations.
- Be present during the Candidate's artificial eye duplication process from a provided plastic model.
- No patient contact required; the focus is solely on observing and verifying the Candidate's performance.
- Provide support and assistance to the Candidate during the examination as per written instructions.
- Utilize a cell phone with camera capabilities to take specific pictures during the process and transmit them to NEBO (with costs covered by the employer).
- Adhere to defined controls for breaks (lunch and restroom) using one-time safety seals for security purposes.
- Utilize a provided help line telephone number for any questions that may arise during the examination.
Requirements:
- Must be available to proctor the exam for a full day of 8 hours on August 9th, 2023.
- Ability to make special calls to NEBO in the US if needed (costs covered by the employer).
- Possess a cell phone with camera capabilities to take and transmit photos as required.
- Previous experience as a proctor or in a similar role is advantageous.
- Proctors with backgrounds in off-duty policemen, legal secretaries, retired or off-duty teachers, etc., are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and maintain a professional demeanor during the examination.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Wage: $30.00 per hour
Please note that the test will take place in a professional medical office by a pre-screened professionl Candidate with a minimum of 5 years of experience in dealing with ocular prosthetic patientsa. All Candidates undergo prior criminal and financial background checks to ensure the integrity of the examination process.
