Pay Rate: $25.00 – $29.00/hour
Staffmax is currently hiring an Underwriting Operational Support Specialist – Personal Lines for our client, a well-established organization in the insurance industry. This position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience supporting underwriting operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational support for Personal Lines underwriting activities by processing broker and internal requests efficiently and accurately.
- Review and respond to requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and underwriting guidelines.
- Support internal departments and business partners with evolving operational needs.
- Assist with strategic initiatives, including system enhancements, testing activities, and process improvements.
- Maintain productivity standards and meet established service-level expectations and KPIs.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies involving data, workflows, and system applications.
- Participate in team meetings and cross-functional collaboration to support operational excellence.
- Stay informed on industry regulations, market trends, and operational best practices.
- Adapt effectively to changing priorities and business requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of Property & Casualty insurance experience preferred.
- Completion of, or progress toward, a CIP designation is considered an asset.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Bilingual English/French is considered an asset.
