About the Opportunity
We are hiring a Warehouse Supervisor on behalf of our client, a growing company specializing in the distribution and packaging of agricultural chemicals. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated environment where safety, accuracy, and efficiency are critical.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead afternoon shift warehouse operations, including packaging, order picking, and shipping
- Oversee the safe handling and movement of agricultural chemical products
- Ensure all team members follow safety protocols, WHMIS standards, and proper handling procedures
- Monitor daily productivity and ensure operational targets are met
- Train, coach, and support warehouse staff to improve performance and efficiency
- Coordinate workflow and allocate tasks based on priorities and deadlines
- Maintain accurate inventory control and documentation
- Identify and resolve operational issues in real time
- Promote a clean, organized, and safety-first work environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory or team lead role
- Experience in chemical, agricultural, or regulated environments is a strong asset
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations (receiving, picking, packing, shipping)
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards (WHMIS)
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment
- Forklift certification/experience is an asset
