One of our clients is looking for 25 or more support staff for their upcoming games in Kanata, ON. This is a parttime-temporary position.
Location: Kanata, ON
Time: Required day prior to event 9am – 5pm and event days 4pm – midnight )
Pay:$19.75/ hr
DESCRIPTION
Responsible for preparing and cooking food to departmental standards with the guidance from the manager on duty. Reports to Executive Chef and Sous Chefs
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Availability to work irregular hours, evenings, and weekends
- Abides by all food safety standards as directed by management and NPS.
- Reports to lead cook and checks the preparation list.
- Pulls food from the walk-in coolers, cleaning and cutting it as needed.
- Maintains a stock of the necessary food for grill cook and service lines.
- Keeps work area clean and swept and cleans kitchen equipment.
- Abides by and upholds kitchen and restaurant service standards.
- Always comply with company standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient operations. Ensure all staff report for duty punctually and in appropriate attire.
- Adherence to sanitation and health and safety procedures and standards. Follow cut glove policy.
- Communicate with Executive Chef and Sous Chef regarding all requirements, ordering, maintenance, special requests, concerns or ideas about staff or kitchen.
- Ability to constantly discern food quality and palatability.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in areas of the kitchen including buffets, banquets, catering, and cost control is an asset.
- Previous cooking experience an asset.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
